Email Instructions:
Outlook Express users please
follow these instructions:
- Make sure you are using your full email address as your
username.
- Open Outlook Express (if you are a dial-up customer cancel
the dial-up process).
- Click on Tools and then click on Accounts.
- Click on the Mail tab.
- Click once on your account and click on the Properties
button.
- Click on the Servers tab.
- In the Account Name field, enter your entire e-mail
address.
- Under Outgoing Mail Server check the box next to My server
requires authentication and click on the Settings button.
- In the window that shows Login Information, select the
option Use same settings as my incoming mail server and click OK.
- In the Properties window, click Apply, then click OK.
- Click Close to close the Accounts window.
- Click the Send/Receive button to verify you have no errors
and can send and receive mail.
Microsoft Outlook users please
follow these instructions:
- Open Outlook (if you are a dial-up customer cancel the
dial-up process).
- Click on Tools and then click on E-mail Accounts.
- Under E-mail, the option View or change existing e-mail
accounts will already be selected, so click the Next button.
- Your account will already be highlighted, so click the
Change button.
- Under Logon Information, enter your entire email address in
the User Name field.
- Click on the More Settings button.
- Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
- Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication.
- Select the option Use same settings as my incoming mail
server and click OK.
- Back in the E-mail Accounts window, click the Test Account
Settings button to have Outlook connect to the incoming and outgoing
mail servers.
- Once the test is complete, click the Next button.
- Click Finish to close the Accounts window.
- During your next Send/Receive, you will receive an Outlook
Test Message.
